KA Gold LLC is a private Nevada Limited Liability Company (LLC) that acquires, explores, and develops high-quality mineral properties throughout the Americas. With our history of success in the capital markets, KA Gold can also assist other companies in identifying sources of funding, negotiating joint ventures, and help guide private companies through going-public transactions. KA Gold has explored multiple precious metal exploration and development projects in the Great Basin of the western United States and in partnership with several mid-tier precious metal producers. The Company is in the process of acquiring additional mineral exploration and mine development projects in order to expand our business platform. KA Gold also holds a 20% interest in Lahontan Gold Corp, a private Canadian company, that through its US subsidiaries, controls the Moho, Redlich, and flagship Santa Fe precious metal exploration projects in Nevada’s prolific Walker Lane.
KA Gold has two Managing Partners, Kimberly Ann and Brian Maher, who have extensive experience in the mineral industry and capital markets:
Ms. Kimberly Ann, Managing Partner: Ms. Kimberly Ann is a corporate development and finance specialist with over 20 years marketing experience in branding, investor relations and finance. She has served as CFO, Vice President and Board Member for multiple TSX-listed Junior Mining companies, as well as working in the Private Equity sector and is currently Founder, President, CEO and Board Chair for Lahontan Gold Corp. In the past nine years, Kimberly Ann has raised over $180M in project financing and directed three major junior mining rebranding projects. While at Prodigy Gold, Kimberly Ann was responsible for all aspects of the company's corporate communication program, facilitating equity financings, generating analyst coverage, and participating in key aspects of corporate M&A leading to the $340M buyout by Argonaut Gold in 2012. Kimberly was Founder, CEO, President and Director of Latin America Resource Group, a private company with assets in southern Peru. Within two years of founding LARG, Kimberly completed an M&A transaction with Carube Copper, a TSX-V listed company, resulting in a 65% premium for LARG’s shareholders and pushing the value of Carube from $7M to nearly $20M on closing. Kimberly Ann attended the University of Washington, majoring in Business and Marketing.
Mr. Brian J Maher, Managing Partner: Brian is an economic geologist with over 40 years of experience in the international mining and exploration industry. Brian is the President and CEO of PPX Mining, operating a high-grade underground gold and silver mine in northern Peru. Brian is also a founder of Lahontan Gold Corp and serves as its Director of Exploration. Prior to PPX, Brian was the President, CEO and Director of Prodigy Gold Inc. where he guided the company through a period of expansive growth, culminating in the $340M acquisition of Prodigy Gold by Argonaut Gold in 2012. In 1982, Brian began a 16-year career with ASARCO Inc. exploring for gold and copper deposits in a variety of geologic environments throughout North and South America. From 1998 and 2004, Brian was Project Manager for Metallic Ventures Gold Inc., supervising underground and surface exploration, mine development and mine operations at an underground gold mine in Nevada. In 2005, Brian joined Hochschild Mining PLC and was involved in all aspects of the company’s North American exploration program, serving as the Exploration Manager for the US, Canada and Mexico. Brian received his BA degree (Geology) from the California State University, Chico in 1980 and his MSc. degree (Economic Geology) from Colorado State University in 1983.
